Over Memorial Day weekend, we decided to be brave and take a mini-roadtrip. We packed up and went to Coeur d'Alene, about a 2 hour drive to the North.
First we went to the Stateline Street Fair in Post Falls, right on the border between Idaho and Washington. We had a blast! The babies got their faces painted by these cute grandparents that kept oohhing and aahhing over the girls. Seriously, we got stopeed so many times while we were there so people could take a look at them. One guy had to stop and take a photo of them. There's something about twins that causes a commotion.
I think the heat wiped them out. It was about 79 that morning, luckily they had some shade in their stroller. Aaron and I were dying in the sun!
Later, we headed over to the CDA Resort. The hotel is right on the lake, and they have a huge floating dock that we love to walk along every time we go.
Then of course we had to dip their tiny toes in the lake! This is Aaron & Elaina. She actually did pretty well. The water was cold, but she only fussed a little bit.
This is probably my favorite place in all of Northern Idaho. We just love coming up to CDA, even if its just for the day. I keep trying to convince Aaron that he needs to transfer to District 1 so we can live here :)
Maria didn't do as well as her sister with the cold water...
What a fun and absolutely exhausting day!
We had to stop for a nap in the park right by the beach.
