Summertime rain storms.  They're not fun unless you go out and play in them!  We actually started out just wanting to go on a walk.  But once we got outside we could see lightning.  We felt safe when we realized it was still eight miles away (thanks to our technique of counting between the lightning and thunder.)
one thousand one... one thousand two.... one thousand three....
Is this actually an accurate measurement???
Then the rains started.  Every block we walked, the lightning seemed to be a mile closer.  Until it was right above our heads and the raindrops were giant!  Luckily we didn't receive any brain-damaging lightning strikes to the head!

Here's all of our exciting (yet probably not at all exciting to you) updates from the week:
  • Dana gave her first haircut ever, and Aaron didn't have to wear a bag over his head.  SUCCESS.

  • Dana no longer has a strange yellow/orange tint to her hair that could only come from girls at the hair school (hooray!)
  •  Aaron finally got to go on tour of the Dworshak Dam.  We had to take the dam road up the dam mountain, which made us both a little dizzy.  So when we got there we had to use the dam bathroom before we could go on the dam tour.

  • Aaron about peed his pants when we went to the car show in Lewiston and saw his dream car: a Pontiac GTO

So that's been our week.  For now we're excited to head down to the cabin for labor day weekend.  See you all soon!
