I love this time of year! It gets me all excited when the leaves start changing colors! It makes me want to visit a pumpkin patch, rake leaves, and drink apple cider!
This past weekend our ward held its annual Fall Social. I entered the pie contest. I was sure that my mom's home made pumpkin pie - from real pumpkin - would help me win. But for some reason Aaron doesn't like Pumpkin Pie. (Where did I find him?) So I decided to attempt Pecan Pie, his favorite. It didn't turn out too bad, but it was no Shirley Nelson Pumpkin Pie either. However, I'm fairly certain that I still would have won the contest if the darn Elders, who were the judges, weren't allergic to nuts, (Which is the only excuse I have left for not having won. I sure hope it's true!)
