This past weekend was our big hunting trip that Aaron and his dad have been planning for who knows how long. We went to Diamond Creek, which is "near" Soda Springs, Idaho. We rode our horses all over those mountains, but all we found were sheep and rain. We did see a few elk, but not at close enough range for Aaron to get one with his bow.

On Friday, we went out and tried to find some elk, as good hunters do. But after an unsuccessful morning, the weather turned cold and the storm clouds moved in. We ended up huddled under a pine tree for protection from the rain. During the whole trip, Aaron was trying to make sure I was having a good time so that I would want to go hunt with him again in the future. The three of us finally started laughing at our situation once we found ourselves getting rained on. Aaron and I huddled under a plastic poncho while his dad made do of a torn space blanket. I'm sure pictures of that moment would have been pretty hilarious, but I was too busy trying to stay dry that I didn't get any taken right then. I'm sure Heavenly Father was having a good laugh at us right then!
