This past weekend we went to Spokane (about a 2 hour drive) with Aaron's co-worker and his girlfriend and another couple of their friends.
We went to Riverfront Park and took the gondola ride over the falls. It was a cool little river, and since the water level was fairly low, you could see all kinds of protruding rocks and waterfalls that would have been hidden had the water been higher -- I guess we were just lucky!
Had to steal a kiss to stay warm -- it was cold out!
And we thought this was pretty cool -- a red wagon made as a slide for young kids ... and those who feel like kids at heart.
After the park and a warm dinner we went to a Spokane Chief's Hockey game. It was a really fun atmosphere and a close game until the last few minutes. Spokane won 5-3. Aaron was most disappointed that there were no fights. He had never been to a hockey game, but was the Chief's biggest fan that night, cheering his heart out.
"It's only fun if you get into the game!" -Aaron
We also were shown on the "Kissing Cam." If you and someone else showed up on the big screen, you had to kiss, so I laid a big one on Aaron and then raised my arms in triumph as everyone else we were with cheered.
Here Aaron is cheering after the Chiefs scored their last goal.
