These beauties were delivered to me on February 13th. Aaron says I wouldn't have been surprised if they came the next day, so this was his sneaky valentine's gift. He also gave me a new fishing pole!
"It means love to me," -Aaron Baird
So Aaron got a big heart balloon, a box of chocolates, a custom mouse pad for his computer at work, and a card that sang "under my umbrella-ella-ella-ay!"
That night we had a picnic-style dinner at home as we watched How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
As a few of you have heard, last Sunday we got a surprised when we were interviewed 5 minutes before Sacrament Meeting and were released from our calling as Sunbeam teachers. That event was accompanied by quite a few tears on my part. And just when we had them trained to fold their arms and sit still during the prayers! That was a fun and sometimes challenging calling that I was very grateful for.
Aaron was called as the new secretary in the Young Men's Presidency, and I was called as the 2nd Counselor over the Beehives in a newly organized Young Women's Presidency. Needless to say our callings will be busy ones as we try to keep up with the teens in our ward, and as I am ALREADY starting to prepare for Girls Camp in July.
These were fun maltball cakes that I made for New Beginnings last Wednesday night.
