Look out, there's a 27 year-old on the loose! He sure is getting old! On the Saturday before Aaron's birthday we FINALLY had some good weather roll into town. What does that mean... picnic time! So we had a great lunch and opened some presents out on our lawn. You can see Aaron's sporting his new headlamp!
He also got a new tent that we're excited to use (shout out to Sage for hooking us up) and some new basketball shorts. The ones he has now are falling apart at the seems. But of course, once he finds something he likes, he'll "Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Or do without!" So he was a punk and returned the shorts I got him and decided to buy some new fishing gear with it. Turns out you can never have enough fishing gear!?!
Later that evening we went out for a fun dinner at Winger's with Collin and Aimee Perschan, and their two kiddos, Adalyn and Kaiser (Sorry Aimee, I'm sure the spelling on all those names is terrible!) After dinner we played some frisbee golf and enjoyed the great spring weather.
Of course a birthday isn't complete without some CAKE! This is an ice cream cake that I made for Aaron. It had an Oreo Truffle crust, Snickers Ice Cream center, and Homemade Whipped Cream for the frosting. Aaron is still enjoying it, he had his last piece tonight!
