This past weekend we decided to check out Palouse Falls. It's about 2 hours from Genesee in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE in Washington. But once we got a view of the falls, we decided it was worth the drive.
So we thought the falls were pretty, but to drive 2 hours just to look at them? Not fun. So we decided to take a hike and get a closer look :) About 5 minutes into the hike a snake slithered across the path about 6 inches in front of me. YIKES! Aaron had a good laugh because I sprinted the next 100 yards and was a bit jumpy the whole rest of the hike ~ but do you blame me?
As tradition goes, we had to leave our mark -- Can you find what Aaron wrote?
The falls! It was a fun hike. I think it took us about an hour & a half total to hike there and back. We got a cool view standing right above the waterfall. Luckily neither of us slipped, it would have been straight down. I was glad that it was such a nice day for a hike. Aaron was sweating pretty good and I think was glad to hike back out of the canyon where he could feel a breeze again. Good times~
