Seattle

Well I finally got around to posting these pictures from our weekend trip to Seattle -- Sorry it took me so long!  When Aaron heard the Pats were going to be in town it was already a done deal, no discussion needed.  So we planned out a fun weekend and saw lots of sites in just a few days.  It sure was nice to get away for the weekend!
DAY 1:

We started at Pike's Place Market where we had to go check out all the giant fish that they throw around.

Check out our video of the guys throwing fish!

We sure got a workout walking all over Seattle!  Our hotel was about a 25 minute walk from the downtown area where we did most of our site-seeing, so we did lots of walking! We bought a Seattle City Pass, which got us into most of the touristy sites for a discounted price.  Included in the pass was a ferry tour of the harbor:

Next we went to the Seattle Aquarium.  We were surprised by how interactive it was.  We got to touch starfish and a few other sea creatures.  They say it's for the kids... it's not.  That was my favorite thing of the whole aquarium!

Of course Aaron found where they keep the salmon :)

See the sealion waving at Aaron? And we loved how the otters popped up to show off for us.

After the aquarium we met up with two of my college roommates and their husbands.  Leanne & Nathan Soll and Elyse & Lance  Shuldberg.  My face hurt the rest of the night from laughing so hard at their stories!  It was good to see such good friends again and meet their great husbands.

Aaron spoiled me and let me order the "Seafood Feast" at the Crab Pot.  We shared it, so he ate the potatoes and sausage, and I had all the shrimp, muscles, clams, and corn on the cob that I could handle.  What's a trip to Seattle without some seafood?
