Fishing & Cameras

Just recently we decided it was time for a new camera.  After I slammed my digital camera in a car door just after we were married, we were left with just Aaron's digital camera that he used on his mission.  Not that it was a bad camera by any means, but Aaron hasn't been a missionary for a good 6 years.  Whew, time for a new camera!

So we invested in a Nikon D5100 DSLR and we're still learning how to use it!  It's quickly becoming a fun hobby for us to try and get the camera to do what we're picturing in our heads.  So three photography books later, and we still haven't scratched the surface.  So be patient with us while we learn, we might end up with some crazy photos on our blog, (lots of them will not be perfectly focused... my bad!) but someday we'll get the hang of it!

Cary & Will came up to go fishing this past weekend, and since the fish weren't biting, it was a good chance to practice our budding photography skills.  These pictures are all straight out of the camera & haven't been edited at all.

Had to wear our camo on the fishing boat... those fish never saw us coming!

This was my spot on the boat:  under my blanket right next to the heater.

It was a good thing I brought a good book!

This one did get edited in photoshop:

 We tuckered him out!
