Over the July 4th weekend we decided to find somewhere new that we hadn't been before. We both heard from co-workers that the Selway River area was great for camping, so we decided to give it a try. Luckily we both ended up with both Thursday and Friday off so we went for a long weekend. Here's a map showing where the Selway river is located in reference to Lewiston:
(It was a little bit more than a 2 hour drive)
So once we got there we set up camp right on the river. We got our tent all set up, and spent most of the day, (and the next) relaxing & swimming in the river. It was a nice escape from the heat!
For some reason, there were tons of butterflies near our campsite. They kept landing on us and flying around us the whole time we were there:
One evening we went to the Selway Falls to take pictures. We lucked out and got almost perfect lighting so we really went to town and took lots of fun photos:
What a hottie!
It was a beautiful little river!
And, of course, we had to have some fun jumping in the water Superman style!
Cannon Balls!
