Blessings from Heaven

What an awesome day!  I was excited the whole way to church.  What a neat experience for Aaron to bless our first daughters!  We were so grateful that both sets of our parents could make it up for the blessing as well.  It was a nice surprise that they both wore the matching ties we bought them to go with our wedding colors.  Spring greens :)

Some highlights from the blessings:

Maria was blessed that even though she may get frustrated about being a twin and always having to share everything, she would be able to find uniqueness and joy in being a twin, as well as talents that are uniquely hers.  Also that she would develop a good relationship with her mother.

Elaina was blessed that she would be a good friend and be able to make friends easily.  Others will look to her for an example, and her older sister will be there to help with good peer pressure.

Both girls were blessed to be able to recognize the Holy Spirit in their lives.

We had such good weather all week long until Saturday.  Then the clouds and the rains returned.  We snuck in a few photos while we could, but those poor babies were cold, so we took our "close-ups" at home.

Maria was it up for the camera - all smiles!

Before we got married, my mom made a little jacket to go with my wedding dress. We had to special order the material so it would be an exact match to the dress.  I was glad to have plenty of leftover material to be able to make these little blessing dresses.  And if you look closely, Aaron also had a little pocket hanky to match his girls.  My mom found the cute little shoes for them.

I have to admit that I freaked out later on that night.  I put both girls in their pajamas, but I put Elaina in the pink ones and Maria in the purple ones.  Aaron had to calm me down and convince me that we didn't bless them with the wrong names.  Thank goodness we had photos to prove that their bracelets match the color of their dresses.
