Our first Christmas, awww! After we cut down our own tree last week, Aaron had to have colored LED lights on it. Other than that he said I could do what I wanted with it. So since the lights are really very bright and colorful at night with all the lights out, I went all white and made most of the decorations myself to save us some Christmas cash!
Here's a picture in the dark
Aaron and I got our new stockings! His has an "elk" (it's actually a deer, but don't tell him), and mine has a moose. Aaron tried telling me that we will have to change them to "Mom" and "Dad"once we have kids. I told him I didn't want to talk about it -- not ready for that yet!
Aaron finally got switched back to his normal schedule at work, so we have the same days off again, (Friday half day, Saturday, Sunday). So to celebrate we went out to dinner -- fancy Taco Bell -- then went to see the Lewiston Christmas lights.
We hope everyone got to see the First Presidency Christmas message on Sunday. Aaron was grinning from ear to ear when President Monson told the Mansion story by Van dyke. After reading Pres Monson's book, which mentioned "The Mansion," he had to go out an buy it. I vaguely remember hearing something to the effect of "If it's good enough for the prophet, it's good enough for me..."
